Over 115,000 patrons streamed through the gates between December 27th to January 1st as NEAP Solutions seamless RFID technology gave patrons the ability to go cashless for the entire Woodford Folk Festival 2018.
Thanks to NEAP Solutions cashless and online event technology, patrons were given the ability to “Top Up” their NEAP Solutions RFID wristbands with digital currency when purchasing tickets online, to be activated immediately upon arrival at the festival.
Woodford Folk Festival embraced NEAP Solutions cashless technology to reduce the need for patrons to carry cash throughout the site as well as increased speed of service. All food and beverage outlets throughout the venue will only accept cashless payments, as well as other festival services (Festival Shop, Visual Arts and Crafts) and all participating stallholders.
Patrons, bar staff & stall holders all enjoyed the ease of NEAP Solutions RFID payment technology combined with the speed of cashless transactions. With cashless “Top Up” facilities available throughout the sprawling 5 Hectare venue including camping facilities.
As with every NEAP Solutions event, all transaction data is recorded and compiled into a comprehensive report delivering a complete breakdown of patron spending behaviour and data throughout the 6-day event.
This year “Woodfordia” was transformed into a village that hosts over 25,000 daily patrons, performers, stallholders, volunteers and organisers. As many as 2,680 volunteers across 162 departments are at the heart of the organisation and contribute to the setup and day-to-day running of the festival. During the event, the festival is actually the 67th largest town in Australia!
